For podcasters: If you have an echo-ey or noisy room, use a dynamic mic instead of a condenser. For the most part, dynamics will only pickup what is in front of them. Condensers might sound rich and sweet, but, for the most part, they will pick up all the sounds in your room. You at least want a mic with a cardioid pattern if your room isn’t treated super well. Also, turn off that AC!
