Quick Audio Tip #29

There are a lot of tricks you can try when attempting to thicken up vocals. One is to make two copies of the vocal, pan the copies hard left and right and notch out the eq on one of the copies to make it stand out. Maybe do a slight boost in the low mids to give it some body. Another is to use extra compression or an AD limiter. Go easy with it, though.
